Is David back?

B:没有,他还在教室学习呢。

[méi yǒu , tā hái zài jiào shì xué xí ne 。]

No. He is still studying in the classroom.

A:已经9点多了,他怎么还在学习?

[yǐ jīng 9 diǎn duō le , tā zěn me hái zài xué xí ?]

It’s after 9 o’clock. Why is he still studying?

B:明天有考试,他说今天要好好准备。

[míng tiān yǒu kǎo shì , tā shuō jīn tiān yào hǎohao zhǔn bèi 。]

There will be a test tomorrow. He said he’ll work hard in preparation for it today.
